Tetris Forever is an upcoming game featuring early BPS titles bundled for PC and consoles, slated for release on November 12, 2024.[1] It was announced on August 28, 2024.[2]

Included in the game will be 90 minutes of documentary footage about history of Tetris, featuring Henk Rogers and Alexey Pajitnov.

Gameplay

Time Warp

Time Warp is a single player or multiplayer game mode. Players to warp to different historical eras, changing the graphical style and gameplay mechanics.

In single player mode, special pieces will drop and when cleared, they will be time warped to E60 (1984), GB (1989), or Bombliss (c. 1993). They must pass the challenge (such as clearing 4 lines or clear 1 big bomb) before returning to modern guideline Tetris.

In multiplayer clearing a line with a special piece will send an attack to your opponents, where they must clear the time warp challenge.

Other playable games

Tetris Forever is set to be released with a collection of over 15 classic Tetris games, repackaged for modern platforms.

Tetris Forever is the 3rd installment in Digital Eclipse's Gold Master Series. These "interactive documentaries" combine archived ads, playable games, documentary footage, and photographs.
