account creation disabled

From the block log:

Colour thief (Talk | contribs) blocked "213.85.226.110 (contribs)" with an expiry time of 6 months (anonymous users only, account creation disabled) (Inserting nonsense/gibberish into pages)

As far as I can tell, the standard procedure for handling "ualuealuealeuale" bots is not to disable account creation in case a legitimate tetromino game fan happens to be assigned the dynamic IP address that a spambot has used. Disabling account creation is for IP addresses involved in sockpuppet abuse, not for spambots. I need to document this somewhere. --tepples 12:25, 31 October 2007 (EDT)

Duly noted. Though I doubt with our volume of contributors that would be an issue over 6 months. :) --Colour Thief 17:31, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
