I notice looking at the tests that you've made so far that the kick system is consistent with a system with a single kick corresponding to kicking away from the colliding block, what do you think? Arcorann (talk) 08:29, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

Thinking about them with that in mind, that does explain the behaviour very simply. whatever block is hit first in the check order mentioned under Center Column Rule determines kick direction - 258 still prevents kicks, but 147 tries a single kick to the right and 369 tries a single kick to the left. This also clears up some confusion i had the other day with a J kick i couldn't reliably reproduce. 2Tie (talk) 09:48, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
