Tepples, I believe your wrong if you read the licenses...
It would be wrong to go from the Tetris Wiki to the Wikipedia, but the first line in the wikipedia's copyright rules reads as this:
to assure everyone the effective freedom to copy and redistribute it, with or without modifying it, either commercially or noncommercially. Secondarily, this License preserves for the author and publisher a way to get credit for their work, while not being considered responsible for modifications made by others.
This License is a kind of "copyleft", which means that derivative works of the document must themselves be free in the same sense. It complements the GNU General Public License, which is a copyleft license designed for free software.
And because we allow it to be used free with credit, copying from wikipedia verbetabim should be just fine. This is the same reason it's legal to run a mirror of wikipedia with your own modifications to it. (like reference.com does).

- I paid ten canadian dollars for it, and felt that was a little much. It's a very quirky version. If you feel like checking out The Next Tetris (PSX and others) and The New Tetris (N64) it's probably worth a shot (their game modes are included), but it's nothing special overall. Every aspect of the presentation gets on my nerves, and I disagree with a few gameplay decisions like auto rotate when holding a rotate button. --Colour Thief 06:19, 15 November 2006 (EST)

Spam asassins

- That's probably not possible, as the spambots appear to just generate a string containing various combinations of "talk", "wiki", "index.php", etc. I believe there's some sort of anti-vandal bot over on Wikipedia. --Tepples 23:18, 2 February 2007 (EST)

What is the correct procedure for dealing with a page who's only entry is spam? I notice you delete them, can i do that? And tetri-porn, hmm, that's something i've been thinking about for a long time. I wonder if everyone at TC would chip in a few bucks and we could get one custom made?

Vandals
Just noticed you protected your page. What on earth are these gibberish vandals? Are they common to wikis? There's no links so it's not spambots, and there's also apparently no malicious intent since they never modify or delete. I just can't see why anyone would put in the effort to do that, given how easy it is to undo the dammage. --Colour Thief 01:59, 27 October 2007 (EDT)
- It's only protected against anonymous users. A lot of Wikipedia users have requested the same on their user pages. The running hypothesis on these "ualuealuealeuale" edits to live articles is that they are tests; if the vandalism stays after a week, that IP address gets used for a spam attack. I can't tell you whether they're common on wikis because I regularly edit only two wikis that allow anonymous edits: one is this, and the other is English Wikipedia, which has at least a hundred people constantly monitoring its recent changes. --tepples 08:47, 27 October 2007 (EDT)
