{{Foreign_names}} template is deprecated. Please use {{notelist}} instead.
Language Name Meaning

This template allows putting information about the foreign names of article subjects and their respective meanings in that languages into an article. Note that this template is only for listing names that have appeared in official localizations in other languages. Also, it is advisable to provide a source.

This template should precede the Trivia section of a page. The coding is as follows:

{{foreign names
|Jap=テトリス
|JapR=tetorisu
|JapM=Tetris
}}

The language's abbreviation and M (for Meaning) are parameters for this template. For Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian and Hebrew, an additional abbreviation + R (Romanized) can be used. The following languages are currently supported:

  • Jap (JapR / JapM) - Japanese
  • Spa (SpaM) - Spanish
  • Fra or Fre (FraM) - French
  • Dan (DanM) - Danish
  • Dut (DutM) - Dutch
  • Ger (GerM) - German
  • Ita (ItaM) - Italian
  • Por (PorM) - Portuguese
  • Rus (RusR / RusM) - Russian
  • Kor (KorR / KorM) - Korean
  • Chi (ChiR / ChiM) - Chinese
  • ChiS (ChiSR / ChiSM) - Simplified Chinese
  • ChiT (ChiTR / ChiTM) - Traditional Chinese
  • Rom (RomM) - Romanian
  • Nor (NorM) - Norwegian
  • Swe (SweM) - Swedish
  • Cze (CzeM) - Czech
  • Hun (HunM) - Hungarian
  • Pol (PolM) - Polish
  • Heb (HebR / HebM) - Hebrew
