Quadrapassel (formerly Gnometris) is a tetromino game for Linux. It was formerly included in the gnome-games package, before being split into its own package.

Gameplay notes

  • One rotation button, player can choose which direction it rotates. Rotation has no wall kicks.
  • Ghost piece is present as an option.
  • Number of pre-filled rows and density of pre-filled rows can be configured.
  • Has a "pick difficult block" option, which implements a Bastet-like algorithm for piece generation.

Scoring

Scoring is based on the Nintendo system but with one addition: a bonus for clearing the bottom row. This bonus is 10000 * level (over 8 times the score for a Tetris).
