A "Misdrop" is the term used for when a player makes a mistake while playing. The most common one is for the piece to be placed one column either to the right or to the left of it's intended position. Though they can occasionally be exploited for twists and t-spins, they are usually detrimental to the players game, and can often cause the player to lose if they occur near the top of the screen.
