- March 8, 2021, EricICX became the first person to maxout the PAL version with a score of 1,096,300 points.[1]

- June 9, 2021, Cheez_Fish got the 100 line sprint world record on the NTSC version of NES Tetris, with a time of 2:52. This beat P1xelAndy's WR of 3:04, set on May 31, 2021. He started on Level 19. [2]
