Klax is an arcade game published by Atari Games (now Midway Games) that involves the player (as a paddle) making patterns in a 5x5 field with falling tiles. The tiles drop from the top of a second field, and the player must catch them. The player can hold 5 files at a time. Once a tile on on the paddle, the player can press 'up' to push the tile back to the top of the top field, or press fire to make the tile appear in the bottom field. When the player forms a row, column, or diagnal set of 3 or more of same tile, they will disappear.
If the player lets a tile fall by the paddle without catching it, he or she loses a life.
Atari Games' Tengen division published ports to several game consoles, including an NES game not licensed by Nintendo.
