Tetris Evolution is missing many features found in games like The New Tetris. For example, it has no real plot, the game does not have support for individual tile representations (using a generic grid for everything), nor does it support technical features like Squares. While featuring glorious main title graphics, the in-game graphics are cave-man primitive and laced with distracting backgrounds which are essentially nature photos and videos that have nothing to do with the game. The music is shallow and highly repetitive after only a very short period of time.
On the positive side, this game features many flavors including Hot Line, Marathon, etc. The game has up to four players online at the same time via Xbox Live. This version will be forgettable in the annals of time and is useful only for an easy 1000 achievement points on Xbox Live. Hardcore tetris lovers should look elsewhere for a good game.
