Tetris is a videogame that was invented by Alexey Pazhitnov in 1985. It was inspired by the classic Roman pentominoes puzzle.
Tetrominoes fall from above one at a time. It is your task to sort them such that you form continuous horizontal lines, which will then clear and the above pieces will fall. Frequently, the player is rewarded for clearing four lines simultaneously, an accomplishment that is called a Tetris. As the game progresses the pieces come faster, making things more difficult. Once the stacked pieces get too high, the game is over.
