The New Tetris for N64 had lock delay, soft and firm drop, 4x4 squares, hold piece (IHS), three next pieces, ghost piece (TLS), and milder wall kick than SRS (notably, T-spin triples don't work but lock delay is still abusable on no-garbage play). The game features an unusual and unique compensation system, tuned around the sometimes bizarre tetromino configurations required for making gold and silver squares. Its speed never got anywhere near 20G. single: +1 point double: +2 points triple: +3 points tetris: +5 points make 4x4 square of one type of tetromino: +0 points, form gold square make other 4x4 square: +0 points, form silver square clear each line of silver square: +5 points clear each line of gold square: +10 points t-spin: +0 points, causes earthquake that breaks blocks into individual pieces that cascade to form lines, may break up silver and gold squares
