Minna no Tetris [a] is a handheld plug and play TV game developed and published by EPOCH in Japan. It includes 11 different modes, including 1 player and 2 player modes.

Gameplay

ARR is a bit slow compared to modern games.

These options are available under certain modes.

  • Starting level 1-15
  • Endless on/off
  • Handicap - two levels of handicap, the player with the star will be advantageous.

Menu options

11 modes can be selected, an option menu to disable ghost piece or hard drop, and a screen to view rankings.

Marathon

1 player modes

  • Standard rules - Endless can be enabled.
    • Marathon - 150 line goal, level increases each 10 line clears.
    • Easy - Difficulty setting, sets the types of polyominoes used.
    • Relax - Speed level is capped
  • Special rules
    • 3 Minutes
    • Countdown - Same as marathon but every 60 seconds a garbage line rises.
    • Target - Game starts with 10 garbage lines. The player must clear the bottom target line as fast as possible.
  • Computer battle - Can select strength of CPU. There are 5 levels, which are multiplied by the starting level. (e.g., level 5 x start level 15 = cpu level 75)
    • Standard match
    • Naughty match

2 player modes

  • Standard match
  • Mischievous match
  • Team - Level goes up every 20 combined lines. Game ends if both players top out within 30 seconds of each other.
