Tetris Beat is a mobile Tetris game for Apple Arcade that uses music and rhythm as a game mechanic.[1] The game supports game controllers, and is available on Apple devices with Apple Arcade.
Gameplay
Modes
Each mode has 3 difficulty levels. Players compete on a per-song leaderboard. Tetrominoes can be controlled using either touch gestures or on-screen buttons.
- DROP: The player rotates and drops pieces in sync with the beat of the music.
- TAP: The game shows various placement options to the player, and the player must tap one to place the piece and do it in rhythm with the beat. If a placed piece is tapped off-beat, penalty blocks are added to the stack and are worth less points.
- MARATHON: Standard endless fixed-goal mode. Gravity maxes out at Level 15. Players can choose to start on Level 1 (Easy), Level 5 (Medium), or Level 10 (Hard).
The Apple TV version of the game also features a split screen versus mode.
Soundtrack
At launch, the game will feature 18 songs from various artists, and promises new songs every month.
