Tetris Dimensions is a cancelled ticket redemption arcade game developed by Play Mechanix and was to be published by ICE Games.
Gameplay
The gameplay of Tetris Dimensions uses similar rules to Tetris Gems. Players start with a 1 minute timer, and 5 rows of garbage. Some of the garbage lines containing a time bonus gem. Unlike Tetris Gems, this is the only gem available.
The game lacks hold, and does not not use Random Generator.
Every pieces, a flashing piece will appear. When these pieces lock they turn the nearby stack and themselves into cascading blocks.
Placing a piece in and above the 17th row will cause the top 6 rows to be erased, making it impossible to top out. This also limits a player's stack height and potential cascade.
Development
In February 2019, it was revealed by a tweet from @tgm_series that a Tetris arcade license was acquired but unknown by who.[1] In August, a test machine was seen at a Dave & Buster's in Buffalo NY with an ICE Games employee present. Soon after the game was playable by the public. The attract mode screen suggests the game plays similarly to Tetris Gems.
In December 2019 Arcade Heroes reported that the game had failed location testing.[2]
