Futilitris is a Flash game by Twinbeard. The game presents itself as a Tetris clone, but on attempting to complete a line, the playfield will instead expand to the left and right by the number of lines "completed" on each side. As a result, it is impossible to complete any lines. The playfield will zoom out to accommodate the extra columns as necessary. In addition, each time a piece locks above the top of the screen the playfield will zoom out to reveal five extra rows of the playfield.
The game shows an "aspect ratio" stat, which is based on the ratio of the height to the width of the stack's bounding box. It also shows the number of rows cleared (which is always zero).
As the game zooms out the music will fade out and the playfield will slowly fade to white. Once the game reaches a zoom-out level corresponding to approximately 236 × 236, the game will end.
